Friends test: quick guide

Thanks for helping! It takes about 15 minutes with one other person.

How to test

1. Pair up. Find a friend who speaks the language you're learning natively, and who is learning yours. Spanish, English and Mandarin work now. Shanghainese is in beta.
2. Open the link on your phone. Chrome on Android or Safari on iPhone both work. Allow the microphone when asked.
3. Set up your first name and languages, then tap Create invite link and send it to your friend.
4. Round 1: you're the 🐢 Turtle. Send short voice notes in your new language. Your friend is the 🐇 Rabbit: they reply and gently correct you.
5. Round 2: swap roles.
6. After the chat, read the transcript and the tips. While AI is in demo mode, the feedback is a sample.

What to report

• 🐛 Anything that broke: what you tapped, which phone, and what happened.
• 😕 Moments you weren't sure what to do next.
• 🎧 Audio problems: recording, playback, or delays.
• 🗣️ Whether the corrections and tips felt useful and kind.
• 🚩 If anyone makes you uncomfortable, use ⚑ Report / Block in the chat. It's safe to test, so try it once if you can.
• ❤️ What you'd tell a friend about it, and whether you'd use it again next week.
